Tried installing this 3 times, no luck, WoW will not regognize it in the add-ons interface. Guess I will just have to live with the WoW version in-game :(

Which unzip program are you using?

when you extract the zip file into the addons folder, it will unzip its contents, including subfolders, into that area. the zip file contains a folder called 'oqueue'. if properly extracted, that folder, along with its contents, are placed in the addons area.

if you had a folder called 'oQueue_1.8.8.c', then your zip utility is faulty as there is no folder contained within the zip file named that. the only thing with that name is the zip file itself. renaming the zip file will not unzip it.

are you on windows or a mac? what utility did you use to unzip it?

I was using B1(see my other post). That was my problem, although when I compare the contents of the two folders, they look identical. Weird. Oh well, time to change programs I guess.

what's B1 ?

An archiving program. not hugely popular, which is maybe why I was having a problem.

if it doesn't show up in the addon list, then you don't have it in the right folder.

Not true. I had it in the correct folder. When I extract the zip it creates a folder named oQueue_1.8.8c and until I changed the folder to simply oQueue, it would not show up in the add ons list.

New install

So I download oQueue and install it to my add ons directory. It extracts as oQueue_1.8.8c. While the folder has that name it does not show up in the add on list in WOW. If I take off the numbers leaving the folder named simply oQueue, it shows up in the add on list in game and I can type the command /OQ, it triggers a LUA error, see below, and brings up a black screen with all the tabs below. Tried disabling all add ons but this, deleting and re-installing addon, redownloading all to no avail. Am I doing something wrong?

OK, fixed, although how seems a little weird. When I right click on the zip and use the extract option through the context menu it does not work. When I open the zip and extract through the unzip program it works just fine. I'm using B1. Sorry for any hassle.
