downloaded it for the first time cant get it to work

i downloaded the addon and it said downloading no further action required and when i logg into game there is nothing on my mini map

Once you download the .zip you have to extract the files from the zip and move the folder into your addons folder. There is a video tutorial on how to do this in the general wow forums here on solidice.
Worse case scenario you can jump into vent with us and well walk you through it.

I have it downloaded in the right folder but it's not showing up in my addons in game. I'm very frustrated with it >.<

if it doesn't show up in the addon list, then you don't have it in the right folder.

Not true. I had it in the correct folder. When I extract the zip it creates a folder named oQueue_1.8.8c and until I changed the folder to simply oQueue, it would not show up in the add ons list.
when you extract the zip file into the addons folder, it will unzip its contents, including subfolders, into that area. the zip file contains a folder called 'oqueue'. if properly extracted, that folder, along with its contents, are placed in the addons area.

if you had a folder called 'oQueue_1.8.8.c', then your zip utility is faulty as there is no folder contained within the zip file named that. the only thing with that name is the zip file itself. renaming the zip file will not unzip it.

are you on windows or a mac? what utility did you use to unzip it?

I was using B1(see my other post). That was my problem, although when I compare the contents of the two folders, they look identical. Weird. Oh well, time to change programs I guess.
