It's not allowing me to go back and edit my images in correctly, so I apologize that they did not show up.

Or if you prefer separately, I scaled them down so it wouldnt be a huge annoying picture wall. Click each one for a big size one.

oComm won't install, 100% the issue!!!

Hey,

Thanks for such an ingenous idea and product, i really wish i could try it out :P

Firstly...Sorry for the long post, just trying to give as much information as possible, it's my duty you know! (And I'm not sure if the images I am going to post will be formatted correctly by the forums when I post, if not I'll go backj and edit therm if I have permissions enabled.) Anyway, here we go:

Short version: the issue I am having is 100% due to oComm not installing its own plugn anywhere. It doesn't go for its current directory, wow plugin dir, or any other dir. I even tried running it through 7zip and throwing those files into wow folder, but obviously this didnt work either.

So, how do I know its 100% ocomm? oQueue works perfect. I can actually load it up and search groups on my server, but they are thge same exact groups I can see with the built in group finder in wow. oQueue and Icebox work perfecctly. I can download and install xqueue from Icebox, and from the website, there is no improvement either way. I have turned off UI scaling, turned off FLUX, and gone to windowed mode in 1920x1080 (standard reso), and many lower resolutions just as a test. Here's some pics for proof...

oQueue works fine, but ONLY shows my own server. You can see right next to each other:

Here you can see that Icebox works fined and I have even installed oQueue from inside of it. ( I have also tried installing it separately. Doesn't matter, you can see what oColmms says, every time!):

As you can see, the problem is with oComms. It doesn't install its addon into WoW. There is no folder in the directory, and it doesn't show up on the addons list from inside the game. Therefore, no matter what I do, I only get the following as a result. [/url;]

Just to clear out the "duhh" part, you can see I am connected via SI and BNET:

And here are the settings on oComms, I just picked a random port, I HAVE EVERY PORT OPEN in both router and firewall. Full NAT freedom. I have also tried many other ports, and removed the wow folder detected and manually added it, and let it redect by itself, as well, nothing helps. Over the past few days I have troubleshot everything I could think of. I've cleared my HOSTS, ive turned windows firewall 100% off, and back on again but with an exception for all related products, and again with rules allowing "ALL ports/proltocols" in and out.

I've removed all oQueue related products and reinstalled them several times. I got rid of my PTR installation just in case it was trying to install in there (it wasn't, I looked for an oComm folder, nothing.,)

I am not the expert in this product at all, I respect that you will know 1000000% more than me, but in my humble opinion the sole issue is oComms failing to install its addon into WoW. It's as if it doesnt exist...no folders in dir, no entry in WoW addons list.

So...even though I am clearly logged into the game and connected to WoW...oComms doesnt detect it , and thinks I am not.

Other stuff I tried just in case:

Running oComms in admin mode, running it in compatibility mode.

Running WoW in 32 bit mode, both from a the BNet launcher (via the built in option to launch 32bit) and masnually opening the 32 bit exe and not even opening BNet client at all.

Also in 32bit color. Reset all custom Nvidia settings (there weren't many. I use FLUX, but I disabled that as well.)

Deleting everything Redownloading that has to do with oQ and oC, including icebox, and the exes from the website, and getting new ones.

Nothing unusual for specs, Windows 7 x64 ( have ran wow in 32 bit and 64 bit already. no luck.)

No problems connecting to any server or CRZ in WoW, verything works as expected, can join private raid groups, as well as random BGs, and LFR wings, both on my server and cross-server, tested both hosting a group, and joining somebody elses. No problems there..

So...again sorry if any of this was redundant or obvious, just trying to gve the most amount of info as possible for the first post. My theory is simply that oComms, for whatever reason, wont install its addon anywhere. It just runs as .exe, and goes into "not connected/not in game".

Thanks for your time.
