Stop updating so often

As the title suggests. Stop giving us an update every 4 days. It is extremely irritating. Also, the "I accept <insert loot rule>" thing is annoying also.

Try releasing a patch every 2-3 weeks with multiple changes instead of an update for every small change.
As I see it, you're getting an awesome add-on and it's up to you whether you pay anything towards it. It's also up to you whether to use it and it's up to Tiny how and when he releases updates.
sorry, no. i'll update as i see fit. if there's a bug and i can fix it, i will. if there's an update that would benefit people, i'll do it.

this is all part of the 60-80 hrs/week i'm putting in between icebox, the site and oQueue.

Better to have too many updates than never enough.

Also, the "I accept <insert loot rule>" thing is annoying also.

Do you also run Mount reserved HC Raids, and everyone goes mental when you change it to Master Loot on last boss? Its not as annoying as it is risky to loose the loot when it gets disputed.
The I accept loot is an option that can be turned off (I started using this like 3 days ago and already know it so just check your setup and you will find it...quite easy)
Also he can update an time he wants and you can download or not the updates....it's notcause he updated that you need to have latest version: you can just go a few days with an older if you choose to. Just wish the "you're using an older version" sign would fade after a while...i mean after a while can get a bit anoying. But then you get used to the square and look the other way.
The reason we try to encourage people to update is

1)bugfixes
2)we sit in vent all day answering questions that would be solved if people just updated when we released these fixes
bugfixes is lame explanation

in last few updates are added lots of annoying popup not related to basic oqueue functionality.

That would not be the problem to have new updates in case update notification is not agresive and popup is not showing me some hints I really don't care about on start. Why even solidice popup after login if I didn't click solidice icon ? No one think this is annoying ?

You can disable the loot popup via the setup tab.
if you haven't noticed, there are minor patches designated with letters (ie: 1.9.3c). this indicates 3 updates (a, b and c) since the last main update (1.9.3). this allows me to take in suggestions and bug reports and put out an update without the scorekeeper announcing it. you don't *have* to update and they won't be announced. only when the number changes (from 1.9.2 to 1.9.3) does the scorekeeper announce it. to keep everyone within a small range of versions, i implemented the 'soft' announcement. if you're more then 2 main versions out of sync, you'll be notified when you try to join a wait list. this is different from mandatory updates which happen if the protocol changes... which has been few and far between.

also, be aware that oQueue is a network application. it coordinates hundreds of thousands of people while also providing in-group info. some of these things are rather difficult to test when you only have 2 accounts. some of the issues don't even pop up until you get 10+ in a group. when i see those bugs, i do whatever i can quickly as the testing framework (10+ in a group) may disappear.

and seriously, to complain about a 30 second update to the guy that has spent literally thousands of hours writing the code, is just not going to get you anywhere. we have a vent to walk people through updating, forums that explain it, and i wrote an application to update your addons for you. seriously, you're not going to make any headway by complaining i'm doing too much work.
