TSA Regulations for Last Minute Travelers with Alcohol

For last-minute travelers carrying alcohol, understanding TSA regulations on alcohol is crucial to avoid delays. The TSA allows passengers to bring alcohol in their carry-on bags, but it must adhere to the 3-1-1 liquids rule, meaning bottles should be 3.4 ounces or less and fit into a quart-sized bag. Alcohol purchased after the security checkpoint can be brought on board but must remain sealed. For checked luggage, bottles with an alcohol content of up to 70% are allowed, but there’s a limit of 5 liters per passenger. Knowing these rules helps ensure a smooth security process, even when traveling at the last minute.
