icebox does embed the ole object for iexplorer to display the ad in the corner (there's no easier way to do that).

Within 66 minutes my Comodo CIS firewall program has logged 839 attempts from icebox.exe to install a hook into KeyPlayerHook.dll, this particular DLL is where login information is sometimes stored.

KeyPlayerHook doesn't come from icebox or solidice. you got it from somewhere else

i would guess your internet explorer is infected, which gets loaded as an ole object within icebox.
