Hi,
I've installed version 1.8.0 several times and close all the way out of WoW.  But when I log back in and pull up OQ, it pops up version 1.7.4.  I can not get this to update to the new version for anything.  I've deleted 1.7.4 many times and installed 1.8.0 with no luck.  This is the way I've "updated" OQ for months.  Why is it just now not working.  More importantly, how do I get 1.8.0 where I can use it in game?

What is most likely happening is you have installed oQueue in the wrong WoW install. For some reason some people have multiple installs of WoW on their computer. Right click your WoW icon and go to properties, that will show you where your WoW is installed.

Hi I am having the same issues.  I came here and did some reading around.  I have went back in to files to make sure I am going to program files, world of warcraft, interface, then addons folder.  It shows the Oqueue 1.8.0 folder after I extracted it...and also all the way down at the very bottom there is the original Oqueue file that shows it is still a compressed file.  I have tried WOW with that file (the compressed one) and the game didnt work.  So then I went in and took that one out and still nothing.  It doesnt show under my addons at the character screen and not in game. But it does show in my WOW/interface/addon folder.   I dont know what I am doing wrong although I know its me =).  If I could get some additional help with this I would appreciate it sense Im not a computer guru =).  
Oh I am not a guru but this isnt my first time adding a feature to my WOW addon.  I done the same thing with 1.7.4 queue when I got it and e

Hi Garana. Chances are you have two WoW installs.

Make sure you check to make sure you are using the correct install location.

From my above post: 

Right click your WoW icon and go to properties, that will show you where your WoW is installed.

I've succesfuly download the new oq patch 1.8.0 as well but, cannot get it into the game even thow i've installed it into it. and yes i've right clicked on the wow icon went into properties just to make sure it, was downloading it into the right place......

Does it not showup in your list of addons on the character selection screen?

Or when you log in does it just show you the wrong version number?

Hello :).

I know you said that you checked to makesure you had it in the right folder, but if it is showing a version older than 1.8.0 you either:

1. Installed the wrong version
2. Installed 1.8.0 in the wrong folder

To check:

1. Log out of WoW, turn the game off.
2. Go to where you installed oQueue 1.8.0.
3. Delete the oQueue folder in that directory.
4. Log back into WoW. 
5. Is oQueue still installed?

If yes:

Then you did not install 1.8.0 in the correct directory.

If no: 

You installed a older version in the correct directory. Make sure you are using the correct zip file, as many users will have older versions sitting around in their downloads folder. 

well I, took a differant aproach Ron,I watched 1 of your vidioes on how to install manually. wich was incredibly easy to follow and very helpfull. oq is now updated properly. =D
although i did the same thing before i just went about it in a differant way. wich aloud oq to work in game as if it was updated but, just didnt show the right version. not sure how that works.lol anyhow i thinks its best to just execute this exactly how u did in your vid.for the manual dummy guide to updating oq =-P
