oQueue and WOD
Not too happy the in-game group finder is restricted by battlegroup, especially my battlegroup is garbage, which is one of the reasons why I was so greatful for stumbling across oQueue.
"Another central innovation in Warlords is our Group Finder feature, which will allow players to easily form and search for raid groups (among other activities) with players from their entire region"
Not to mention I don't think anything has been limited by Battlegroup for years, except Rated Battlegrounds. They are barely more than a distinction that lives on paper now.
"could petition for them" to let oqueue team do the group finder for blizzard, but unlikely
than again "Due to the outrage from the oQueue community" we could still try
i agree to everyone here that, anything they make in game would be garbage, cus of "noob inclusion policies"
Anyway it was a nice time of our lives, and i wish you all good luck and see you all soon when blizzard fucks up yet another time....

Seems like you'll be able to set ilvl requirements.

looking at those screenshots.. i already think it looks like :puke:.... you can't select specs for allowed requirements, the ilvl requirement seems to looks at stuff in bags/bank too instead of just equipped gear.. and so on.
i'll miss oQueue a lot :(
*sniff*
/sadface
I understand that like they will set up a ilvl barrier but you wont, for example, be able to set the ilvl to 580 to just rush all SOO
Perhaps it's a performance issue that they're most concerned about.
The popularity of oqueue is huge and it's methods for finding groups works in a very interpreted way. Not only is the source code not part of the native WOW application but it also has to verify information using the battle.net friend system which is really slow. But because oqueue is an addon it must do this in order to gather and verify information.
WOW stepping in allows for several things to happen that SHOULD benefit performance overall.
I'm not sure how awesome Blizzard's version will be but finding a workaround (somehow) to keep oqueue moving would be great if possible. It would keep Blizzard improving what will surely be a dumbed down not as intuitive oqueue rip off.
