ive down loaded the new oq as per instructions but it wont connect to the game , its in my addon file but i have no icon on my mini map and 0-0 connection

do you see the user interface?  
what version do you see listed at the top center of the user interface?

I am having the same issue!!! Except when I try to use anything with oQueque my whole wow game freezes. If I disable the oQueque addon, my game works fine.

disable all your addons except oqueue and see if that has any effect

just did exactly that and It still froze my whole game client up. It works for about 5-10 secs then everything completely freezes.

what version does it say at the top center?
what realm are you on?  high pop / low pop?

the only thing that changes 10 seconds after logging in is oQueue joining the oqgeneral channel.  if you're on a high pop realm, there can be a very large number of people in it.

upon logging in, immeditately type:  /oq off
this will disable oqueue comms.  see if that keeps it from freezing


 

The version is 1.8.4g and I am on the realm Sargeras which is a high pop server.

When I typed /oq off, my game worked fine and I ran around for a while to make sure it didn't freeze again. The moment I clicked my minimap oQ button to see what the version was, the game froze up again.

The odd part is I was using oQ all day today and all the sudden its started freaking out and freezing. So I deleted the addon folder and reinstalled a new one and its still doing it. :(
