many people have been using the raffles and word has definitely spread. and that's good. our intention has been to get enough participation to push out the 'big' raffle, which would be for cool gaming hardware. the initial thought was 'well, it'll be pricey so let's make it a 30 day raffle' ... helps reduce costs and gives people plenty of time to get tickets together.

well... as i watch the 14 day mount raffle wind down, i wonder if 30 days would be way too long.

what's your thoughts on this?

How many raffle tickets would be for the 30 day max? I think with something that big that the 30 days would be sufficient for people to be able to build up their tickets.

I have 16 tickets in the current raffle and I have been playing very casually due to school. So 30 days for (assuming) 35 tickets is more than generous. You could make it two or three weeks if you wanted, or even say 30 days and 50 tickets. It doesn't really matter. If people want the item enough they will get enough tickets in however much time you give them and as for being too long... well, that depends on I guess what/how often you can afford to give away.

I find the raffle thing fun to do though so thank you. When I get a chance and can afford it I will be sure to donate. You do great work!

as for the 30-day raffle, i was thinking 50 tickets max.

i also think it'd be interesting to have one or two raffles active at the same time. of course, this would eat into the tickets people are farming, so they'd have to decide which they wanted more. once they'd cap, then they would put tickets into their second choice raffle.

maybe i should lower the number of tickets to allow for easier cap so ppl could participate in other raffles?

I would say stick with 15 days for pets and stuff.

For hardware and maybe even mounts 30 days seems reasonable.... gives people who may not be on oq yet reason to get in on the raffle and still have time to get in with decent odds.

But with 30days i would say it deff has to be timed/overlapped with another raffle where your not going 30 days without seeing a winner. That way if im coming in late and it is on day 22 of one raffle the other is only like 7-8 days in.
