I am literally bored of seeing this question. And i'm sure you are too in regards to constantly telling people to hold down shift to pause. 

Just add a button, never answer this forum question again. Everyone wins. 

until the next day when we get complaints that the list is empty and nothing is showing up (since users forgot to uncheck the box)

 

lololololol yeah. 

with that in mind you should introduce a " refresh " button next to it, tha tall it does is uncheck the pause the option. lol. 

and MAYBE. after a user spams it 50 times in a 5 minute period. it uses the option "find mesh" on the background. 

OR, it could be a 30 second pause.
